QUEEN DVEDD LUXURY
Cloth that remembers where it came from
Handwoven Akwete. Hand-picked Ankara. Cut, fitted and finished in County Cork.

Our story
Long before a dress becomes a dress, it is a decision made at a market stall. A bolt of Ankara pulled halfway out so the light can catch it. A length of Akwete still smelling faintly of the loom it came off, woven by women in southeastern Nigeria who learned the pattern from their mothers and will teach it to their daughters.
Queen Dvedd Luxury began with a simple refusal: that cloth this alive should not be saved for special occasions and then folded away. It should be worn. It should move through an ordinary Tuesday and make it less ordinary.
So we make clothes the slow way. One fabric at a time, chosen in person, never by catalogue number. Gowns that hold their shape. Jumpsuits cut for a real body. Two-piece sets that let a woman decide each morning how much of herself she wants to announce.
WHAT WE WORK WITH
The fabrics we choose
Akwete
Handwoven on narrow looms in Abia State. Every length carries small irregularities where the weaver changed rhythm. We consider these the signature, not the flaw.
Ankara
Wax-printed cotton, chosen for colours that do not apologise. We buy in short runs, which is why a piece you love may not come back.
Linen
Irish weather asked for it. We use it where a garment needs to breathe and fall clean.
Made in small numbers
We do not manufacture. We make. Most designs exist in a handful of pieces, and when a fabric is gone, it is gone. That is the trade we have chosen: less of everything, and every piece finished properly.
Rooted in Carrigtwohill
We work from Marian Villa in Ballyadam, just outside Carrigtwohill in County Cork. It is a long way from the looms, and that distance is part of the point.
Every gown that leaves here carries West Africa into an Irish morning, and we think both places are the better for it.

OUR PROMISE
